Men’s and women’s meetings

Ladies' meetings

Ladies’ meetings are held every fortnight in term-time on a Wednesday morning (10.15 am to 11.45 am) in the lounge at the main house on the church site when we consider together a particular book of the Bible or subject.

We also meet twice a term on a Saturday lunchtime (11.45 am to 2.00 pm) when we have relaxed discussion and sharing together. We bring food to share and will often have a testimony-sharing speaker.

Ladies’ Christmas Lunch

For more than ten years, we have held a Ladies’ Christmas Lunch on the first Saturday in December. This is an opportunity to invite friends and family to a three course hand-prepared Christmas lunch which is served by the men of the church. After lunch there is a guest speaker. Normally 120 or more ladies attend this.

Men's coffee mornings

Men’s coffee mornings take place each month, except during the summer holiday season. They are usually held on a Thursday morning, and usually take place in the Coffee Shop of the Henry Street’s Garden Centre, Arborfield. The idea is simply to provide an opportunity for men, old and young, to get together and share good conversation and fellowship; they are very informal and discussions often, though definitely not exclusively, deal with current newsworthy topics.  Specific days and dates are announced at the ECF Sunday morning meeting. If there is any doubt about a date, please feel free to contact me, Gordon Higgins. Customarily, I buy the coffee (or tea)!

Men’s breakfasts

Men’s breakfasts are held on Saturday mornings from time to time. They start at 8.00am with a cooked breakfast, usually followed by a short talk on a particular theme and group discussion.
